The new Lamborghini Murciélago is one of the most extreme and astounding sports cars that you will ever see. With the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, Lamborghini has taken its car range to the next level. The car is much faster and compact compared to its predecessors and competitors.
The Murciélago is lighter with a weight reduction of 100 kg and there has been an increase in output of the 6.5 liter V12 to 670 hp. Such improvements have helped to throw the car from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds with a top speed of up to 342 km/h.
The car has been comprehensively re-designed to achieve considerable weight drop of 100 kilograms. The aerodynamics has been designed to provide substantial downforce to improve stability at extreme speeds. The interior of the car too has been modified to aid weight reduction. Carbon fiber has been used for the door panels and the wide center tunnel. The leather has been replaced by Alcantara, another way of saving weight. Bucket seats made of lightweight carbon fiber have been used to guarantee perfect support to the driver, even in extreme driving.
The car features four Carbon Ceramic brakes that are capable of holding back the car powerfully when needed. The brakes are cooled by air flowing via puffed-up canals in the body shell, even as apertures in the front fenders offer extra aeration. The car’s doors open upwards and then roll wide open to disclose the chic interior of the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce.
With the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, Lamborghini has established its proficiency in reducing car weight using lightweight building materials. Furthermore, the car is so designed to guarantee a great first impression. At present, only 350 of this edition are scheduled for production and the price is so far undisclosed. Anyway, this is surely not for the everyday car buyer.
