Aston Martin has unveiled its 200mph and world’s most expensive super car at the Geneva Motor Show. The car merges without blemish, the apex of car luxury with race car technology. Priced at £1.4 million, the Aston Martin One-77 has become the world’s most expensive car, beating the Bugatti Veyron, which was sold for nearly £800,000. No wonders, the One-77 has already generated enormous interest.
Though the car manufacturer, Aston Martin has been somewhat hesitant to give out particulars related to the One-77, some information has leaked out and the car is said to have a 7.3 litre V12 engine, with aluminum body and carbon fiber chassis. The engine is expected to generate at least 700 hp, with zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of over 200 mph.
With its massive headlights, radical ducts, and jagged sides, the car has broken many rules in visual design. Other exceptional features include the distinctive inboard suspension system, carbon ceramic brakes for all the four corners and the six-speed sequential manual gearbox. The car also features a monocoque tub made exclusively of carbon fiber to help keep the curb weight around 3,300 pounds.
According to the car maker, the One-77 will combine futuristic technology with amazing car design. However, the car will be offered only to a limited number of elite customers. The car is said to be named One-77, as only 77 cars will be manufactured. Despite being super expensive, news is that the number of applications received till now for purchasing the car is a lot more than just 77. Being the fastest and most powerful car ever made by Aston Martin, this car is surely going to be a toughie to beat.
