Trouble shooting your PC is much easier than you could imagine. A few tips could enlighten you about maintaining your PC with out spending a dime on PC maintenance services. Some of the most common problems faced by the PC owners include the slowing down of PC’s speed, system getting hanged often, and at times OS getting corrupted.

Increase your PC’s speed
The causes for the slowdown of your PC are many. A few simple maintenance tactics can speed up your system like a new one. First free the disk space using the disk clean up option. Then uninstall any of the unused programs that take up considerable amount of system resources making the system function slower. Defragmentation of your hard disks must be done on a regular basis in order to maintain the speed of your PC. You should also check for spyware using tools like the windows defender tool because spyware not only slows down the speed but also collects your personal data for third parties. Surprisingly you can find all of the tools required to perform the above tasks come along the windows.

System getting hanged.
If your system gets hanged often there could be several problems, for example space constrains and unwanted programs using up system resources. Even bad sectors on your hard disk can stop your PC from functioning properly. You can free the space and the system resources using the disk clean up and by uninstalling unnecessary programs as mentioned above. Whereas, the bad sector problem on you hard disk can be corrected using the scan disk software that checks the surface of the hard disks and fixes most possible errors. Once you perform these checks your system can provide you with a pleasant working environment.

Maintenance of your PC
While the above problems can be fixed by a novice there are also a few problems that needs a little bit of skill to make your PC work. A little knowledge of anti virus software and installing OS would be of great help when it comes to fixing major problem of your system. If your system gets hanged often or refuses to boot then there are two possibilities. Either your operating system has been corrupted or your PC has a virus in it.
It is wise to first check for any viruses using the latest anti-virus software. If your system looks clean, then you will have to reinstall your operating system. You can reinstall your operating system yourself easily by following the instructions that appear on your screen.

Functioning of PC can be affected if dust gets accumulated in the CPU. It is easy to clean your CPU if you have a vacuum cleaner or an air blower. Turn of the power and disconnect the plugs and then open the cabinet door and suck the dust with your vacuum cleaner, then you can remove the RAM chips by loosing the clips that hold them and wipe them clean with a dry cloth and replace them firmly. Once you are done close the cabinet and tighten the screws. Clean any dust on the monitor and on the key board using your vacuum cleaner and with a damp cloth. Connect the plug and switch on the PC. Your pc will not only look great but also perform excellently.
