Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease that most typically affects the small joints in your hands and feet. For some reasons, in rheumatoid arthritis, the immune system gets crooked and starts mistakenly attacking your own body’s tissues, particularly in the joints. Various joints in hands and feet become red, hot and swollen. It normally attacks between the ages of 40 and 60, and most commonly found in women than in men.
