The latest version of IPod is the IPod Shuffle which arrives with a three inch USB connector, headphones and the all new Voiceover feature. The highlight of this most recent version of Shuffle is that it has a futuristic audio feedback interface (UI), which can actually speak to you, Voiceover.
The IPod has text-to-speech archives to associate with each track so that it can announce verbally the title and artist of the song played. This iPod also has support for podcasts and playlist syncing. So you need not drag tracks and playlists manually one by one, as you can simply use the Voiceover feedback system to jig between playlists.
The major change in design in this latest iPod is that all the buttons are removed and moved to the headset and thus the size is shrunk a great deal. However this does pose some problems with the controls. Another matter of concern is that you have no other go than to depend solely on Apple for your headphones. It has 4GB storage for about the same old price but the battery life has been reduced from 12 to ten hours. As this new Shuffle is only half as thick as the previous one, the clip is also only about half as sturdy. And the controls as already mentioned are not easy to use.

Thus if you are looking for an iPod to use for work out purpose, it is better to get the previous version of the Shuffle provided the stocks are still available. If that is not possible, it is better to play the waiting game and hope Apple comes up with a better version, as there is nothing special about this latest Shuffle other than the novel Voiceover feature.
