Nikon has announced its new wide aperture AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G lens specially meant for the DX format. The 35mm single focal length lens allows you to get a picture angle equivalent to a focal length of 52.5mm in FX at 35mm format. It also features a huge maximum aperture of f/1.8 which allows easy hand-held operation even in poor light conditions.
The specialty of the lens is it’s built in Silent Wave Motor that guarantees rapid and noise-less auto focus, even when used with other cameras that don’t have built-in motors such as the Nikon D60, Nikon D40 and SLR cameras for example.
