Panasonic could next week reveal a camcorder SDT750 for customers which is actually capable of taking photos in 3D.
The video camera, details of which are not available yet, is going to be shown in a Tokyo news convention scheduled for July 28, the company explained Wednesday. This camcorder will be the very first 3D-capable camcorder for the consumer industry.

Panasonic and various other electronics manufacturers are already building 3D models televisions for the last few months since the earliest 3D content starts to appear on Blu-ray Dvd.

The next goal of these manufacturers will be to build such products that allow customers to produce their very own 3D content.

This 3D cam is going to be Panasonic’s subsequent product after they launched a professional type of camera earlier this year.

Sony has released a free firmware update for its NEX interchangeable lens cameras that allows you to shoot in 3D. The company says the free upgrade also improves the normal 2D Sweep Panorama shooting, reduces power drain when the camera is off and delivers faster start-up in low-light conditions.
