Wordpress Guide for Beginners

When in 1993 Dr.Glen Berry invented blogging, defined as web based commentary, linking to other articles, nobody knows that blogging will get so much popularity. Especially after 2004 blogging industry got a dramatic boost.

And now when the whole world is in spell of “Evil” credit crunch the one industry which is still growing rapidly is “blogging”. More and more people are starting blogging every day. Blogging has become an industry it is not just remain the source of expressing yourself anymore. It has become the source of business now. and I am pretty sure that in next few years almost every person in world will do blogging in some shape and upto some extent.

However, It is a fact that number of people leaving blogging every day are also increasing as they don’t know how to optimize blogs, get into market, how to promote, best way to maintain and how to secure their blogs. As blogging industry is increasing fast the competition is getting tougher and you need to do some study and research to make your blog popular. Good News is that just knowing basics will help you do the trick. You don’t have to do real hard work or spent 8hrs a day sitting in front of your computer/laptop to make your blog popular.

Recently in India , which is one of the fastest rising blogging industry, held their first ever Wordcamp at Adobe’s at Noida, New Delhi on 21st and 22nd February, 2009.

It brought in Wordpress lovers from all around the India along with some eminent people which included Matt Mullenweg, WP founder and Om Malik, editor of gigaom.com plus Abhijeet Mukherjee called himself a celebrated blogger.

Abhijeet posted his presentation at Wordcamp on his blog. Believe me this is the best beginners guide for beginners. You can download it and keep it for your future reference.

The Presentation targeted only wordpress bloggers however, other bloggers can follow these steps with other tools.
